FAMILY KIT FEATURES

Water Filtration

Clean Water

The LightWaterLife 4-gallon container drinking water system utilizes a Sawyer® water filter that attains the highest level of filtration available today. The filters are comprised of tiny “U” shaped micro tubes that allow water to enter into their core through tiny micro pores. The PointOne Filter pores are so small (0.1 micron absolute) that no bacteria, protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, cholera or typhoid, can get through. At 7 log (99.99999%) the filter attains the highest level of filtration available today. The system can filter up to 500 gallons a day with a 100,000-gallon lifespan (or about ten years).

Off-grid Power

Solar Power Lighting System

LightWaterLife solar power lighting system is a completely independent, off-grid power system with a solar panel that can provide illumination for up to 5-7 hours per night. The system is comprised of a solar panel, a controller with a premium rechargeable lithium battery inside, and two 16’ wires with LED bulbs and on/off switches. It includes a USB output for recharging a cell phone and to power other USB devices. The indicator light on the box shows the amount of power stored. The solar panel charging time is about 4-6 hours (strong and direct light).

Emergency Communication

Solar Radio/Flashlight

The pocket-sized AM/FM & NOAA weather radio will provide families with the latest local weather and hazard information. With three charging methods (micro USB charging, solar charging, and manual hand crank), the self-powered system will provide continuous power to the radio and flashlight for up to 18 hours. Hand crank the radio to recharge a cell phone via USB cable for emergency calls. Push the SOS button and the alarm with a flashing red light can signal for help when needed. The power indicator lights help monitor the power capacity of the radio.

Weather Protection

Tube Tents, Thermal Blankets & Rain Ponchos

Keep yourself warm and dry with two (2) tube tents, four (4) emergency thermal blankets, and four (4) waterproof rain ponchos. Our two-person tube tent is durable, tear-resistant, and weather-resistant. The reflective foil interior reflects up to 90% of body heat, keeping it warmer when temperatures are low. The foil exterior shell maximizes visibility for rescuers. The thick, durable, and lightweight emergency blanket is designed to reflect heat back to the body, deflect heat when used as a shelter from the sun, and prevents post-accident shock by retaining body heat. Stay dry from the rain with our lightweight, disposable emergency waterproof rain poncho with a hood.

EMERGENCY READINESS KIT FEATURES
Sawyer MINI water filtration system

Portable Water Filtration

Clean Water

A lightweight, versatile personal filtration system, the second-generation Sawyer MINI Water Filter fits in the palm of your hand. The tiny MINI provides 0.1 micron absolute filtration for clean drinking water on the go — filtering out bacteria, protozoa, and microplastics. The MINI filter removes 7 log (99.99999%) of all bacteria (like salmonella) as well as other harmful bacteria which causes cholera and E. coli and 6 log (99.9999%) of all protozoa such as giardia and cryptosporidium. These removal rates equal or exceed other filter options. EPA guidelines allow ten times more protozoa left in the water than Sawyer MINI filters allow. The MINI also filters out 100% of microplastics. The system filter has a 100,000-gallon lifespan (or about ten years).

Off-grid Power

Solar Power Bank with LED Flashlight

LightWaterLife portable solar power bank is a completely independent, off-grid power system that has the ability to charge three devices simultaneously. The 30000mAh large battery capacity can be recharged from the built-in solar panel or USB cable. The power bank is IP67 waterproof, drop-proof, and dust-proof making it highly durable on the go, and includes an LED flashlight with an SOS mode. The indicator light on the box shows the amount of power stored. The power bank charging time is about 6-10 hours.

Time matters.

Traditionally, emergency preparedness agencies have suggested that people prepare ready kits in order to provide food, water, and supplies for up to 72 hours. Most emergency preparedness kits have been designed to provide supplies for 3 days.

Over the last few years, emergency preparedness agencies, in states such as Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Alabama, have begun to recommend that people should be ready to act on their own for at least 14 days. While officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, they cannot reach everyone immediately.

Be prepared.

Disasters with long recovery periods require smart preparation. Access to clean water and electricity solutions that last for 2-4 weeks is critical.

Independent, off-grid power systems can provide consistent electricity for hours of light every night, communication with the outside world, and recharge important devices, such as a cell phone or tablet.

Sustainable clean drinking water solutions provide a method for an unlimited supply of water and do not require access to pure drinking water. Portable water filtration systems can instantly turn dirty water into crystal clear drinking water.
